Wonder, the fast growing food hall and delivery concept, is expanding in Maryland with locations planned for Rockville and Frederick in 2026.
Wonder is currently hiring and building out a Rockville location at 12240 Rockville Pike, in the space that was previously home to Stephen Anthony Salon, next to the recently opened California Fish Grill in Towne Plaza. While an official opening timeframe has not yet been announced, active hiring and ongoing construction indicate that plans for the Rockville location are well underway.
In Frederick, Wonder is planning a new location at 5473 Urbana Pike (21704), with a projected opening date of February 2026. The Frederick restaurant will be located next to the Starbucks that opened in 2022, in the building situated directly in front of Target along the Urbana Pike corridor.
Wonder combines food delivery, takeout, and dine in service under one roof, offering menus from multiple well known and chef driven restaurant concepts. Customers can order from multiple restaurants in a single order, a central feature of the concept. Wonder describes its model as lightning fast food delivery, takeout, and dine in from iconic restaurants, all in one place.
Unlike traditional food halls where each vendor operates independently, Wonder operates centralized kitchens and partners with established restaurant brands and chefs to recreate their menus. Each location functions as both a dine in destination and a delivery hub serving the surrounding area.
Wonder has been rapidly expanding across the Northeast and Mid Atlantic, with locations already operating or announced in states such as New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Additional details, including opening timelines and participating restaurant concepts, are expected to be announced as construction and hiring progress.
