Had dinner tonight at the new French bistro in Mar Vista. It is at the corner of Centinela and Electric (I was like ooooh as we parked). Overall it was solid. Definitely good neighborhood vibes for a Saturday date night, friend dinner, etc. but if you wanted to hear each other maybe request to sit outside.

It was busy, which is good, but it is definitely a tight space for staff if most of the tables and bars are full. It is nicely designed and feels cozy (probably too cozy for those two tops in the middle). If you go through all the pictures you can see the space pretty well. I’d think sitting at the bar in front of the open kitchen would be the most interesting.

Waitstaff were attentive and helpful. The haricot verts had a chopped pepper on them that is not listed on the menu (not great) and the staff had them remake it right away (good fix). A lead from front of house who was very French came around and talked to all of us and checked in which was nice and added a personal touch.

Honestly the chicken liver mousse was my favorite thing. It and the crackers were delish. I wish the roast chicken came with the gravy so you could pour it rather than on the bottom of the plate. Verts were yummy and unique with the mustard. Fries are solid and very good salty fries.

They are beer and wine only and have a large wine selection so if you’re a wine drinker I’m guessing that adds something. The couple next to us just got fries and wine which is honestly a solid idea for a little mini date.

Check (which I’ve included a picture of for the ‘how much was iiiiit?’ crowd) I thought was a reasonable $60 per person for app, main and two sides and we have leftovers that will be lunch tomorrow. Of course if you got drinks it would be more.
