Recently visited Pohang, South Korea. My husband and I went to Jukdo Market and ate snow crab at one of the restaurants. Our meal came with all of these sides (plus steamed crab and fish stew!) We tried everything and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it. My favorites were the cold vegetable dish and the soy marinated crab. Does anyone know the name of the vegetable dish (see blue arrow)? It was sweet, cold, crunchy, and so refreshing! Even though it's very red, it was not spicy at all. The ladies explained that they also included bits of sashimi with the shredded vegetables. She told me the name, but I don't remember it at all. If you have a good recipe for the veggie dish or the soy marinated crab, that would be awesome too! I would love to make this for myself at home.

It’s called mulhoe/mulhwae (물회) – meaning water sashimi. It’s sashimi in a spicy broth which is usually partially frozen and served with various veggies like cabbage and sprouts.
물회 (mulhoe / mulhweh)
Usually it has more broth(?) but some places just pour the entirety of the broth frozen like in the image. It melts pretty quickly anyways.
물회 my beloved
