Do you use mayo or butter for the perfect grilled delight? Personally, I utilize both.

    Butter. I tried mayo a few times, but the flavor is a bit overpowering to the cheeses I have used. Could have been the mayo too. What brand is best for this?

    Butter. My son is allergic to eggs so we can’t have mayo in the house

  4. I’m Canadian and Mayo is not a thing for us full butter,but I respect food culture and traditions,I should try a smidge of Mayo one day cause I’m really open.

    Kerrygold salted butter. I tried mayo before but it wasn’t for me. However, I did get some garlic Parmesan butter at Aldi this weekend that I want to try with a grilled cheese.

    I actually use the blended butter & olive tubs from Land ‘O Lakes. Tastes great and easy to spread. I love mayonnaise but hate the way it tastes when grilled/browned.

    Butter almost exclusively sometimes in a pinch I’ll use olive oil

    I see a lot of butters on here, but I feel like I never have a good time spreading the cold butter on bread. So I guess if I always had room temp butter yeah sure. But when I’m just trying to eat, mayo is easy and tastes great.

    Canola. I get it, that’s probably a hanging offense here, but it’s the only way I can get it as dark as I like without burning the fat in the pan.

  17. While I find the crust of the mayo to be very nice, I find the flavor of the butter better. I also find that mayo has a little more grease than butter does

    Depends on the bread and cheese. Classic white bread and American cheese, butter. Swiss or jarlsberg on rye, mayo.
