First time I made a Yule log. It is the Sally's Baking addiction recipe. It wasn't too hard, but it was time consuming. The "dirt" is just ground up Oreos. I did experiment some with the mushrooms. The meringue ones did not hold up (got soggy). I also made some marzipan ones and painted them with cocoa butter. Those worked out a lot better, but took longer.

That looks absolutely gorgeous! The swirl on that yule log is perfect, and I love the decorations. Congratulations and good job.
Nice job!!! I’ve made this recipe before too. It’s delicious and fun, but it’s definitely a full day of baking and creating. My back and feet hurt after this one 😅
Looks divine!
I’m sorry, but you can’t just bring a fairytale woodland creatures hangout spot in here and try to sneak it past us! This is incredible, I felt my appetite and imagination grow a little more today.
IT’S SO PRETTY!!!!!

Very pretty. My frosting was not as dark as yours but mine was delicious. I’m making it a tradition.
