My grandmother gave this wine to me last time I was with her in France, I’m wondering if it’s a good wine and if there’s any chance if it’s still good. She kept it dry and dark for ages. Looking forward to your knowledge!

  1. It’s a Pomerol red. From 1989. Hope this helps.

Nice vintage, drinking well now. Producer I don’t know much about but if well stored it should be interesting

Hi, 1989 is considered a great vintage in Bordeaux, characterized by warm and sunny weather conditions.
Pomerol wines from this year are known for, richness
    full ripeness, significant aging potential.

After more than 35 years, this wine is at full maturity or possibly beginning to decline🚨, depending on storage conditions.

In France, the estimated price seems to be around 150 euros. Perhaps best enjoyed with friends. Let it sit for 3-4 hours before serving.

I’m very interested in the world of wine. The opinion above is my personal analysis as a novice. Apologies to the experts.🙂

That’s some old school Pomerol you’ve got there.

Don’t know the producer but it’s a good vintage and a Pomerol so should be stunning. Sounds like it was stored well and it has a good fill. Will have thrown some sediment so serve carefully

That’s a very small producer of good quality, inexpensive wine. Based on recommendations from other vintages, I would expect the 1989 to be well past prime. The listed drinking windows for the Old School are only 20 years or much less. The one review I found for the 2016 vintage said to drink by 2021.

At my old school, we drank the bottle and asked if it was worth $5000 later
