Has anyone else had this issue? I used my Nano 3.0 and after using it, the top has snapped off at all four screw locations. I didn’t drop it, and I store it when not in use. I use it frequently and haven’t had any issues until now. It seems unlikely that the device should fail at all for screw points.

I have reached out to ANOVA with my concerns.

Thank you for your picture post to r/sousvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.

If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.

Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.

    Thank you!!

Happened to me too. I just pitched it.

Very common problem with the newer Anova cookers. It’s like they used plastic that was nowhere near good enough.

Happened to me within the first year. It still works fine. It’s just annoying.

Yeah happened to me too after like 2 years. It still works so I just tape it up and keep going. Definitely annoying and makes me less likely to buy an anova when I eventually need a new one

I just put a little bead of E6000 glue on there. It’s automotive so it should hold up to the heat no problem. It does expand a little so very little is needed. You can barely tell it happened at this point.

Same thing happened to mine when it was dropped less than an inch onto the counter on a soft dish rag to dry. My wife said she basically just set it on the counter and the top popped off.

Its crazy how fragile Anovas are

I had this happen with mine – model before this one. Touch of crazy glue and it was fine.

I’ve had the plastic enclosure split open on 2 of them. I have no idea how they are screwing this up repeatedly. Its a shameful embarrassment!

I just taped the sides, I don’t believe it’s catastrophic

My anova did this too. Found out right before a Christmas cook. Pretty annoying. Our warranty is over so i glued it back.  This one was a warranty replacement for an older model that cracked down the side.

Basically their product quality is subpar and i wouldn’t buy one again.

    Same happened to me.

I just used a few dabs of JB plastic weld and it’s as good as new.

Mine did that.. a little gorrila glue fixed it
