First time smoking ribs on a Traeger Ironwood. Very happy with the result. Great cut of meat and amazing Smokey flavour 🙂

    No one.

Who says you need activated charcoal to get good bark on a pellet grill?

Is that a straw man for your example? Never heard it said.

They say you can’t get smoke flavor with a pellet grill. The rings are easy!

Dude you’re shadowboxing here… Smoke rings don’t do anything with flavor, they can be faked using sodium nitrite

All right y’all, take it easy, OP’s in the UK, they’re certainly not in BBQ-land.

Pellet grills are absolutely capable of delivering those kind of results. All about prep, temp control, time, and patience.

    Excellent work, sir!

Wow, I wasn’t looking to cause such kick back. Just happy with my ribs on a pellet grill is all.

Many YouTube bbq channel refer to pellet grills struggling to get a good smoke ring. And Smokey flavour. I was just really happy with my results. Not trying to rage bait.

  10. Everyone jumping on either the the subject line or the charcoal. Either way, that looks like a beautiful rack of ribs that I wish I could eat right now.
Nice cut and nice cook, kudos.

The only people I’ve heard suggesting people say you can’t are the one’s asking “who says you can’t”
