Which bottle would you crack for a new years dinner? Menu is little neck clams, lamb chops with mint sauce, risotto with broccolini, and carrots with goat cheese. Thoughts?

I’ll leave it to the experts but just want to give the love for the finger lakes

Chimney rock all the way. It’s an elegant Napa wine versus some of these others which can throw a punch…this will probably complement your risotto best.

I’d suggest starting with a nice white (Chablis!) for the clams and risotto then moving onto the chimney rock.

    Happy new year, enjoy!!

Inglewood or chimney but both are going to be great

I’d open that chimney rock. Should be good.

In this lineup, Absolutely no on the Bully Hill. Feel bad hating on Fingerlakes. Label is beautiful though.
I’d go rubicon or chimney rock all day.

Chimney Rock, then Palermo for the second bottle (if you don’t mind crashing out before the ball drops).

Chimney Rock would be my pick. So layered and nuanced.

    Chimney Rock for me.

I just had a 2015 Inglenook Rubicon a few weeks ago. It was OK, but it wasn’t worth the price I paid. I was underwhelmed.

Only kids make choices; I’ll drink it all. Alright, lol.

Never Bully Hill unless the guests don’t like fine wine, then that and secretly pour Chimney Rock for the people who do.

This meal is screaming for CA Pinot, not Cab.

I didn’t have the same selection but I went with Artemis. A bit fruitier than I like but paired well with wagyu and mushrooms.
    Happy new year!!

It’s NY! Open them all starting with Artemis 😉

THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN – Chimney Rock it is! Followed by Artemis (will save Inglenook). Shame no one appreciates the Napa Valley of the east. Bully Hill will be place on the kids table. Thank you all, and happy new year!
