The Hazleton Swing Club marked its 76th consecutive year of its annual Christmas Basket Food Giveaway, continuing a long-standing tradition of community service andgenerosity. Club members, along with friends and supporters, donated money, food, and volunteered their time to assemble and distribute Christmas food baskets for more than 100 needy families throughout the Hazleton area.
As part of this year’s event, Father Sean SimShock blessed the Christmas food baskets before distribution, offering a moment of reflection and gratitude that has become a meaningful part of the annual tradition.
For more than seven decades, the Christmas Basket Food Giveaway has remained a cornerstone of the Hazleton Swing Club’s mission to support the local community. What began as a small charitable effort has grown into a meaningful annual event made possible by the compassion and dedication of volunteers who believe in helping their neighbors during the holiday season.
The Hazleton Swing Club is proud to carry on this tradition and remains grateful to everyone who contributed to this year’s effort. Through the generosity of its members and the broader community, the club continues to demonstrate that the spirit of the season is best reflected through kindness, service, and giving back.
