New Orleans native Charlie Andrews demonstrates how to make a Red Velvet cake from scratch. It’s a mild and slightly tangy chocolate cake that gets its bright Red Color from Red food coloring or beet root along with the tanginess of the buttermilk, vinegar and baking soda. The cake is also frosted with a sweet cream cheese frosting. You can get 8 to 10 or possibly more servings depending on how you slice it.
