Winooski beer fundraiser raises $8,500 for Vermont food shelves

WINOOSKI, Vt. (WCAX) – A Winooski beer store has raised $8,500 for Vermont food shelves through its annual fundraiser.

The Beverage Warehouse held its 11th annual Hops for Hunger event, partnering with some of the state’s top beer-makers to provide hard-to-get beers in grab bags. All profits from the event go to area food shelves.

Over the 11 years the Beverage Warehouse has organized the fundraiser, the store has donated nearly $90,000 through Hops for Hunger to help feed hungry Vermonters.
