Step 1 – Starter Mix: ¼ cup warm milk, 1 tbsp yeast, 1 tbsp honey, ½ cup bread flour. Cover and let rise 1 hour.
Step 2 – Dough Add to starter: 3 cups bread flour, ¼ cup water, 4 room-temp eggs (one at a time). Mix/knead 10 minutes. Cover and let rise 2 hours.
Step 3 – Final Mix Add (except butter): Zest of 2 oranges, ½ cup sugar, 2 egg yolks, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp vanilla. Mix, then add 12 tbsp butter one at a time. Mix 20 minutes until smooth. Fold in: ¼ cup raisins, ¼ cup dried cherries, ¼ cup dried cranberries.
Place in panettone liner or lined 7-inch pan. Rise 2–3 hours, then refrigerate overnight.
Bake Preheat oven to 350°F. Brush with egg wash, lightly score an X. Bake 45–60 minutes until set. Cool 2–3 hours and enjoy

I happened to be on a channel today that had nothing to do with food but was talk how they don’t like fruit cake but they loved this bread like you just made here. I’ve never had it but it looks delicious. So many recipes of yours I still want to make. This is another I need to put on my list. 👍😋💚

Panettone Recipe
