19 lb boneless ribeye for 10.99 a lb. Couldn’t believe I found this deal at wegmans, was beautiful when I cut her open as well! After trim got probably an 8 lb. Roast and four 2 lb steaks.

It’s a crazy market right now. I haven’t been able to deer hunt the last 2 years and have the urge to make some jerky. For venison I always grind and use the jerky gun. I went to several stores looking for a cheaper lean cut (was thinking London broil) to grind up. The cheapest cut of bee the last week around me has been prime rib. Too much fat in it for me to make jerky. Everything else was over 11.00 per pound. I usually make 15 pounds at a time, and I am not going to be spending hundreds of dollars on jerky so we will see what the future brings.

Anymore that is a solid deal. Publix has them for $8.99 right before Christmas so I both a smaller one to cook as a roast.
Saw a post around here to cook it at 500° for 5 minutes per pound then just turn the oven off and leave it for two hours and it came out perfectly. So much simpler than worrying about temperature probes and all.
