I’ve got all of 5 minutes of effort in these from cutting open the package to wrapped for a rest before slicing. Bbq is simple people. Low slow and leave it alone.

    BBQ was a way for Gullah and other Black communities to prepare low quality meats that nobody else wanted and with seasoning and a great deal of care despite limited tools and cooking equipment to turn them into something wonderful. In case you’re wondering what BBQ is or isn’t.

  13. your simple bbq looks very simple. No pullback, looks tough, more like beef than ribs.

    Well, unless it is beef, I guess, but Im not interested in it.

  14. Every brisket or rack of ribs is not always the same. I’ve played the game and thought I had this down but every once in a while, there will the rogue cut that won’t act like I expected it to. You have to be ready to change tactics midstream sometimes. It’s not always one and done

    If those are ribs, which I assume they are, then I’d question how good of a job you did because visually they look not cooked properly. You don’t have any pullback on the bone which means the meat didn’t shrink which means you didn’t cook it long enough.

    But cool brag otherwise!
