Charoset is pronounced ha-row-set. But, the ha at the beginning has a raspy, slightly guttural quality. Also, sometimes you’ll hear it pronounced charoses with an s at the end instead of a t. It’s the same word, just pronounced slightly differently by Jewish people who historically come from around the Middle East and the Mediterranean versus Eastern Europe.
It seems weird to me to pay someone else who isnt part of your family and who you won't invite to dine with you, make the food of your culture on a sacred holiday. I love your videos I never realized before now how having a private chef cook most of your meals kind of takes away one of the key parts of the human experience. Whens the last time any of these people fed themselves and their family? Imagine being asked "whos the best cook in your family?" and not being able to say like "oh my mom makes the best balhabalh." Rich people live on a different planet
Hi, Jew here! First of all, did you use regular flour in part one for the latkes? Because in Passover we’re not allowed to have flour of any grain (meaning – oats, wheat, barley, rye and spelt, even as is. Only as Matzahs). Second of all – Harosset is pronounced “Hah-roe-set”: emphasis on the “roe” 🙂
Fun to see my culture too on the internet! 😍 can’t wait for next year
It’s ha-ro-set just for easier pronunciation and everything you listed is traditional for a sedar plate as a Jew I approve of everything you made for Passover
I thought you couldn’t mix meat and milk. Can someone advise me? Is this wrong? Or maybe people have various rules depending on how observant they are?
I just love your videos. I think both you and your wealthy clients are fascinating. You for your skill and techniques and them for their recipes and high class palate. I never even heard of caviar pie before these videos and the Passover meal looks absolutely delicious.
I want to find a way to send you the best butter I’ve ever tasted and cooked with. It is Primor from Portugal and knocks Kerrygold (which I used to use) out of the park!!! The butters from the Azors are supreme!!!

I loveeee Latkes. I love it when it's in season to make or buy. Aka: Kartoffelpuffer, Reibekuchen etc..

Not a fan of Jewish food but you are so caring and you put so much effort to make food taste delicious.

Are your clients Jew?
Excellent content. Just for future reference, it’s pronounced say-der, not cedar like wood.
