Double dipped medium and cajun on the left and regular medium on the right.
They have been rated in the higher end of wing places in the Buffalo area. Worst cooked wings I’ve ever had in a restaurant and I eat a lot of wings. Came out of the kitchen in 10 minutes which was very surprising, obviously pre cooked. They were so overcooked that they were hard, crunchy and cold. I heard a guy at the table beside us describe their wings as “carbonized” so we weren’t the only table. Sauces were really good but how they’re being cooked is terrible. Disappointing as I’ve been waiting to have wings from there for quite some time now.
Much, much, much better places in the Buffalo area wings.

They look good from the pic… but understand how overcooked wings can have the texture of chewing on bark.
I’ve stopped there a few times while in Buffalo, and the wings were really good!
That’s sad, I had elmos for the first time in October and loved it. That said, bar bill is so much better. It’s possible you had a really bad day of wings. I went to duffs last week and they were dry af aka horrid l. The last two times there were bad. But bar bill is my go to now.
Yumm
Did you send them back or what?
Looks tasty 😋
Rather have them a little overcooked than under. At least you know they’ll be crispy till the last one.
With all the freak steroids in chicken, undercooked just means they’ll be rubbery as all hell. No thanks
So butting in here as Elmo’s is not in North Buffalo, as here NB refers to a neighborhood in the city limits. Elmo’s is in Getzville, north of UB North and on the way to Lockport, about 20ish minutes from the city proper!
Had this same thing happen when I went there. I figured it was because it was later at night (only 8:30ish) so they weren’t at their best. My coworkers (and many others) swear by them so maybe if I’m in that area I’ll check it out again.
You say precooked like that’s a bad thing.
