The historic building that once housed Oklahoma City’s First National Bank—an Art Deco structure built in 1931 adorned with granite and marble accents that jut out into the skyline—is now home to Tellers, a newly awarded Wine Spectator Award of Excellence winner for 2025. What were bank tellers’ booths are now dining tables in the “Grand Hall,” while soaring Italianate columns, coffered ceilings and gilded chandeliers from the early 20th century provide an opulent stage for stellar wines and classic Italian dining.
Tellers’ chef Jonas Favela serves flame-licked Italian-American fare: Think pizza with juicy fennel sausage and marinated peppers, Scottish salmon with tomato confit and pine nut pesto, and charred eggplant dip tinged with sumac and served with oven-fresh pizza bianca. The menu focuses on pizzas, fresh salads, grilled meats and pastas such as lobster ravioli and lamb bolognese pappardelle. Tellers also offers breakfast and lunch seven days a week, with brunch service on Saturdays and Sundays.
The cellar—headed by beverage director Zak Lindahl and sommelier Lee Nevarez—primarily focuses on the wines of California and Italy, though you’ll also find star producers from across Europe, South America and Australia like Alsace’s Albert Boxler, Argentina’s Bodegas Salentein and Australia’s Mollydooker. While California Cabernet might be king on this list, don’t miss out on the diverse selection from across the Italian peninsula, with wines from across Tuscany, Piedmont, Sardinia, Veneto and more.

Guests can cozy up to Tellers’ marble bar—situated at the center of the Grand Hall, with a bottle display that goes from floor to ceiling—to enjoy classic cocktails, including tiki staples like a Singapore Sling, American standards like the Brandy Alexander, and pre-Prohibition must-sips like the Clover Patch. The by-the-glass list is stacked with nearly 30 options, primarily from across Italy and California, with pours from the likes of Piedmont’s Vietti and Monterey’s Mer Soleil.
The First National Center building also houses the National, Autograph Collection hotel on the first eight floors, with 146 rooms and suites. The remainder of the floors are reserved for luxury apartments overlooking Downtown Oklahoma City.
