Is my used machine broken?

I bought a used pixie off of Facebook marketplace the other day. The seller said everything works fine they just didnt use it and the machine looks almost brand new. I looked up how to reset the settings just in case and ran a pod through. 40ml comes out but extremely quickly, maybe 10 seconds. I looked up why that could be and Google says because im using offbrand pods. Could that really be why? Or could something else be causing it to brew much quicker than it should? Adding pictures of a used pod in case that helps diagnose.
