Joking aside, the reaper sliders was on my hot bucket list to take down. I am glad I finished both but it was very hot.
I believe that was the hottest thing I ate in that volume. I have had hotter sauces but in smaller amounts.
Like everyone said, it tastes like chemicals, so I am glad I finished it but I will not do it again. It was just for the experience and see if I could do it.
I could tell the chicken itself was good tasting and juicy but that chemical flavor was just nasty IMHO.
Thanks to this sub (I hate you all) for making this place known to me! Any other hot bucket lists items I should try to go for?

I tried fry the coop which is a bit similar, i just felt like it was coated in cough inducing cayenne pepper every step of the way. Still slammed it tho
the “hot” one is a good one in taste only. like very well seasoned too.
Extra hot is where it’s at. Flavorful and spicy. I don’t like the “chemical” taste of pure capsaicin extract.

It is indeed crack.
Even the hot at this place fucks me up. It’s definitely the volume of it they are huge chicken strips and they are drenched in oil and seasoning. It is tasty, I got a shitty strip last time but that’s the only time it’s happened.
This place is legit. Extra Hot is my go to. But no matter the heat, tears me up. 😬
not for Dave’s, but if you’re ever in portland oregon check out fire on the mountain, they have a sauce called el jefe that is HOT

We don’t have a Dave’s, but Dave’s only has tenders, not real pieces of chicken. I’ve just read comments; do not get the reaper. Extra hot or below, depending upon your comfort level
I like the reaper and dont think it tastes like chemicals. I also dont get the sliders and just eat the tenders with only bread and pickles (no other sauce). Its definitely HOT and I can’t eat it all at once, but I like it.
Didn’t try Dave’s Hot Chicken until I moved to Oregon. It’s solidly hot IMO with a well balanced flavor. I can handle some serious heat but so many places will just make things punishingly hot with no flavor which to me always seems pointless.
First time last Monday. Tried extra hot with no prior information.
I thought it was perfect.
Are they actually good? We have some near my place but I’ve never tried.

I tried Dave’s for the first time today and had their slider, hot flavor. Spice level seemed on par with Royal Farms spicy chicken, but it’s absolutely torched my asshole 3x this evening 🌶️💩 Can’t imagine what reaper or extra hot would be putting me through. Will do medium next time at Dave’s
