A popular Summerville, Ga., pizzeria is set to close at the end of this month after 15 years in business.
The Crushed Tomato has two locations: one in Summerville and one in Lafayette.
The location on Montgomery Street in Summerville will close on January 31, 2026.
The pizza restaurant has not announced any changes to their location on E Lafayette Square.
In a social media announcement, The Crushed Tomato said, “We are endlessly thankful for the love, loyalty, and support you’ve shown us over the years. It has been an honor to serve this community.”
The post gained a lot of traction on social media, with more than 500 reactions and more than 200 comments. Many of the comments involve people being upset about the closure, or asking for a new location to open.
