Went to Casa de Luz Village for breakfast. It’s $13 per person and all you can eat- soup, tacos with fresh blue corn tortillas, pinto beans, veggies, a vegan sauce, tea, a porridge with granola and dried cranberries. Everything there is vegan, so it may not be everyone’s thing, but I thought the food was tasty and you can actually taste the ingredients. The place has a calm, relaxed vibe. Overall, I had a good experience for the price.

I’m a 4-5x/week casa goer. Love it, at 45 yo makes me feel like my mom is still making me eat my vegetables and always feel good afterward. Staff is great as well and don’t sleep on the desserts!

Isn’t that place like an anti-vax cult haven or something along those lines?

Man I didn’t realize it’s all you can eat. I thought it was supposed to be one plate per person and I was being a sleaze by coming back for a second soup. Can someone confirm or deny?

The health claims they make on their online menu are insane.

They boast how certain drinks they serve reduce risk of cancer, lower your blood pressure, reduces cholesterol etc

They also talk about how their water has removed the fluoride and its vortex activated so that you’ll have better weight loss, healthier skin, less illness etc…

Apparently science doesn’t matter at casa

It’s all you can eat in this one particular case? Because I’ve eaten here dozens of times and you pay for one tray of food.

  7. I have such a soft spot in my heart for Casa de Luz, and I haven’t been in forever, I should make my way down there this week

  8. It’s strange seeing this place being redisovered and falling in and out of popularity over the decades.

I had no idea casa was so divisive until this thread.

I would rather just keep my money, avoid the cults, and cook this at home. By cook, I mean to NOT cook. LOL. The camera phone is really making this meal look… uh… interesting???
