Oh my goodness, an absolute masterpiece!
Over the last couple of years, I’ve been denying myself the joy of eating this same type of sandwich under the guise of limiting carbs. “Why add more bread to something already breaded?” I tell myself?
I have a chicken dish in the fridge from last night. Chix in sherry/cream of chix sauce, with Havarti, then stuffing or large bread crumbs on top, baked until bread crumbs are crisp. I also have a fresh loaf of Sourdough available! I’m thinking of going open faced with mixed greens and possibly tomato (ugh, we only have cherry tomatoes). I may throw a slice or 2 of thin, black forest ham in the mix?
I’ll take a few pics. I’ll try to post, if it’s photogenic enough, because the mental imagery is already posted, lol?
