A French steak house chain is set to open a new branch in Surbiton tomorrow (Tuesday, 6 January).

Bordelaise, which already has restaurants in Tooting and Epsom and Ewell, will replace Mems restaurant on Maple Road.

The chain has also submitted a licensing application to Kingston council seeking permission to have an outdoor seating area at its Surbiton venue for the “sale of food or drink for consumption on or off the premises.

The area will consist of a “streetfront 6.6 metres by 4.5 metres for the purpose of consuming food or drink” and will be open 11am – 10pm seven days a week.

It will have 16 “bistro style” chairs and eight tables.
