Had the cacio e pepe at Emmer & Rye for the second time in the last 2 months. This was amazing. I rarely recommend any Italian in this city, but this one dish is worth it.
I also tried another pasta, the Wagyu, and a fish dish there. None of those were amazing. All nicely done but nothing I'd go back for. In my opinion, the prime ribeye I smoked for Christmas was better than their wagyu. Though, the bread is good as a side.
Nice restaurant and friendly service but this is the only dish that stands out. Just my opinion. Cheers!

I was given six coupons for free cacio e Pepe. I have yet to make it by there to redeem one. Might do that tomorrow before the Toadies show. Thanks for the reminder!
I also really liked the Cacio e Pepe @ Emmer & Rye. I wasn’t too impressed with the rest of the dishes, they were good not great. For the price point and food, I much prefer Odd Duck
I had the Cacio e pepe at Roccos the other evening and it was pretty magnificent
It’s a decent dish but it’s pretty ridiculous they call it Cacio e Pepe when they don’t use pecorino
this dish is out of control good – there’s a woman that used to come to Emmer and Rye with her husband order four of these for the two of them
Yep! The cacio e pepe and bread side are the two things I order and crave there. Last time I got the bread, the butter with it was less exciting than it was a few years ago (still good, but not epically so).
The one other thing I had there last time (over a year ago) was a dessert that was kind of like a deconstructed apple pie with a cilantro granita (highly aware this sounds disgusting!) – it was great and very interesting, but not sure if it stayed on the menu, they didnt do a good job of selling it, my partner just ordered it because it was weird and she’s not a dessert person
