Our StarRupture Recipe Unlocks Guide tells you how to use the Orbital Cargo Launcher and Recipe Station to unlock new crafting recipes, new food, and new equipment for your character.

The Orbital Cargo Launcher is used to unlock new workstations and machines for your factory.
How Recipe Unlocks Work
There are two ways to get new StarRupture recipe unlocks:
Unlocking new recipes via the Orbital Cargo LauncherUnlocking new recipes via the Recipe Station (which is itself unlocked via the Orbital Cargo Launcher)
Generally speaking, the Orbital Cargo Launcher gets you new personal equipment, new crafting stations, and new machines for your factory, and the Recipe Station is used to unlock new items for manufacturing in your factory and cooking recipes.
How to Unlock New Recipes Via the Orbital Cargo Launcher
You can unlock new equipment, new crafting stations, and new factory machines via the Orbital Cargo Launcher. To do this, you’ll typically want to set up a factory to produce items in large quantities. As long as the factory is powered, it will keep feeding items to the Orbital Cargo Launcher.
There is a total of five corporations in StarRupture (aside from the Training Corporation in the tutorial), each of which unlocks different kinds of technology. Each level of a corporation requests different items, requiring you to reconfigure your factory in order to level it up.
Once you’ve set up a factory and it’s running, there isn’t much to do other than wait for you to earn enough reputation with the corporation by shipping a large enough quantity of goods. You can use this time to explore more of the map and find other useful items.
An important note: while you can use Data Points to speed things up, it’s best to save them for unlocking recipes at the Recipe Station.

The Recipe Station is used to unlock both new manufactured goods and new cooking recipes.
How to Unlock New Recipes via the Recipe Station
Unlocking items via the Recipe Station is different from the Orbital Cargo Launcher. You must physically bring specific items to the Recipe Station and insert them into the machine. When you’ve inserted all of the items, you’ll unlock the associated recipe. Some items require Blueprints, which can be found in the world.
The Recipe Station has two tabs on the left. The top tab is for new items that can be produced in factory machines, and the bottom tab is for cooked food.
Nearly all recipes unlocked at the Recipe Station require Data Points, which can be earned by processing items in the Analyzing Station. You can process raw food, bug parts, and broken technology retrieved from points of interest on the map.
Again, I want to emphasize that you should save your Data Points for unlocking new recipes instead of using them to upgrade your corporation reputation. A single recipe unlock can cost as much as 1,000 Data Points, and there are a lot of items to unlock!
How to Get Blueprints
You can get blueprints by looting them from blueprint chests at Abandoned Bases in the world. Check out our map guide to see locations where you can find specific blueprints!
