A go-to Italian restaurant located in a suburb just north of Boston has shut down after a decade.
Osteria Nino in Burlington has closed, according to a message on the restaurant’s website.
“It has been our pleasure to serve this community for the past 10 years,” it reads. “We are deeply grateful for every team member, neighbor, guest, and vendor who helped build and sustain Nino’s. This journey has been full of celebration, connection, and great memories.”
The message stated that Nino’s closed to “make way for new ownership and a revitalized concept that will continue to serve the community well.”
It concluded with, “Thank you for your support over the years — it has truly meant everything to us.”
Osteria Nino has been Burlington’s favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant since it opened in May 2015, according to the restaurant’s Instagram biography. Known for its locally sourced and scratch-made meals, Nino’s was inspired by the kitchens of Rome.
“A casual Italian restaurant, Nino captures the best of the Italian tradition and pairs it with the bounty of New England to create locally sourced, handmade dishes within a friendly environment that the whole family will love,” the restaurant’s website reads.
Nino’s menu consisted of Italian appetizers, salads, sandwiches, calzones, pastas and pizzas ad well as poultry entrees, seafood dishes and desserts.
The address for the now-closed Osteria Nino was 19 3rd Ave., Burlington.
