I’m struggling to find divided glass containers where the sides are completely separate from each other. Does this exist???

It goes in a teen’s lunch box, so we might put 2 totally different foods in it and don’t want them to mix.

Pic included of the not fully divided divider – there’s about a quarter of an inch of space when the lid is on

Bento boxes might an option, too. Metal and probably lighter in a backpack

  2. BrokeHalo

TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or try Amazon/Target for “bento” glass containers

  3. LimitedWard

pardon for the dumb question, but if it’s just going in a lunch box, why not just use 2 smaller containers?

  4. Check Marshalls and T.J.Maxx! That’s where I’ve found mine

  5. I have some of these, and so far, the lids have sealed well. You can check their store there for other sizes.

  6. Kallymouse

My Asian grocery store has them. Ranch 99. I think for people to make bento boxes for lunch

  7. ihadto2018

I got those at Marshall’s! I do food prep and this is the type of containers I use

  8. ExodusPHX

Get two containers and super glue them together

  9. BlueMangoTango

Yeah I have some similar to that and was very disappointed!

  10. DarkHorseAsh111

I have this exact container basically, and there’s almost no food I think would get through the lid unless I shook it upside down while it was filled with liquid. This is a teenager, not a super young kid, they can’t keep a lunchbox the right side up?

  11. Dramatically_Average

I have about a dozen of these. I bought them directly from Pyrex and they were cheaper than Amazon.

  12. babydoll69x

I have some of these they’re Igluu I think…from Amazon

I’ve also used these and they’re just as good

  13. RatherBeAtDisneyland

The brand Bentgo makes a glass container that is fully divided. Family member has used it for a few years with zero complaints. It has a rubber thingy that helps keep the seal dividing the areas.

  14. Ghost_Hunter_13

Just get individual containers that fit inside eachother that are different sizes?

  15. Have you searched “glass divided meal prep containers” on Amazon? Because a bunch pop up

  16. DisplayAlternative36

There is likely a reason for that related to thermal expansion and exploding glass shards everywhere.

I’d say look for a different material, lots of bento box style options out there.

But if it has to be glass probably separate containers are the best available.

  17. ausername_8

Check Marshall’s, Home Goods, and TJ Maxx. That’s where I get all of mine, divided and not divided.

  18. bloody_ejaculator

A glass container completely separated is actually called “two glass containers”

  19. missthunderthighs12

Silicone cupcake holders work as great impromptu dividers. I also have the same container in the picture. FYI: It shatters when it’s dropped

  20. BottleNo7031

With the lid on, they are separated? I have the same containers at home. Only have issues with sauces as you would with many “divider” containers

  21. AnastasiaSheppard

These (your pictured container) are supposed to come with a special lid that completes the separation. Did they give you the wrong lids? Are they possibly in your cupboard somewhere?

  22. jwinskowski

I have these exact ones, and even for meal preps that go together I wish I’d have bought glass containers with no divider at all :/

  23. jeepersjess

I use these for dry snacks or veggies and put anything wet or saucy into it’s own container

  24. One_Elephant0712

What I would give to have THIS instead of all my other ones without a divider?! Where did you find such a thing? (I can only ever find plastic dividers never glass) my husband won’t use plastic Tupperware. This is great!

  25. I hate these because you can’t mix cold items with hot without having to remove them.

  26. ItsNotBigBrainTime

My solution was multiple containers but I’m gonna buy a bunch of those squishy ice-pouches to pad my lunchbox

  27. Shot-Pollution3211

Yes they do exist. I purchased some at BJs Wholesale but I have not been able to find containers like it since

  28. SweetPresentation682

Why don’t you just put a napkin over the devider so they can’t mix.
