Found this Green Mountain Grills Daniel Boone pellet smoker in my area for $25 and it supposedly still works fine. Definitely gonna ask to see it in action first before I give them my money, but I figure for $25 it might be worth the risk. Do y’all think it’s too rusty though? Or do you think I could just replace the grates and clean the inside?

I have other smokers, but have been interested in a pellet smokers and I figure if it works and isn’t too rusted for $25 it would be a low risk foyer into pellet smokers.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

That doesn’t look like too much rust. If the Wi-Fi works, it’s worth a lot more than 25 bucks.

Use steel wool on the grates and if they’re not too far gone, they’re inexpensive to replace

I would take all the parts out right down to the fire pot. If it hasn’t been cleaned a shop vac will do that quickly.

And you can spray on high temperature Matt black rust protector for the outside
