I had this Trader Joe’s frozen beef bulgolgi. I cooked it and weighed out a portion cooked which came out to 6.21 oz. Do I put 6.21 oz into mfp or do I have to scale it up because it’s not the frozen weight.

    hey motar ! ✌🏽

unfortunately, 6.21oz will not be accurate when in reference to their label so putting that into MFP will do no good.

when food is cooked it looses a significant amount of weight as water…especially considering there was a sauce here.

typically i can give people estimates for cooked proteins in relation to a label referring to raw product when there is no sauce or marinade since there are some generally understood percentages of “burn off” when cooking various proteins…but being this had sauce this throws a completely different variable into the mix.

do you happen to have any guess of what size portion of your whole batch you had ???

How much (weight) was left over? When I do things like this, I mic. it then portion out how much I want to eat. For example, wanna split it in half? Just weigh out two equal portions & each will account for half the total packaged calories. & then you can have the rest later & already know the portion & calories.
