This Tres Leches Cake is pure perfection — soft, airy, and soaked in three kinds of milk for that melt-in-your-mouth texture everyone loves! A light sponge cake drenched in a sweet milky mixture and topped with fluffy whipped cream. Perfect for any celebration or cozy night in.

🧁 Ingredients:

* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* 1 ½ tsp baking powder
* ¼ tsp salt
* 5 large eggs (separated)
* 1 cup granulated sugar
* ⅓ cup milk
* 1 tsp vanilla extract

*Milk Mixture (Tres Leches):

* 1 can sweetened condensed milk (400 g)
* 1 can evaporated milk (354 ml)
* ½ cup heavy cream
• 1/2 cup whole milk

*Whipped Cream Topping:

* 1 ½ cups heavy cream
* 3 tbsp powdered sugar
* 1 tsp vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.In a large bowl, beat egg yolks with ¾ cup sugar until pale and creamy. Stir in milk and vanilla extract.
3.In another bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form, then slowly add the remaining ¼ cup sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
4.Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the flour mixture, then fold in the egg whites until just combined — don’t overmix!
5.Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
6.In a separate bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream.
7.Poke holes all over the cooled cake using a fork, then slowly pour the milk mixture on top until fully absorbed. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
8.Beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Spread evenly over the soaked cake.
9.Top with dulce de leche drizzle or fresh berries if desired.
