Haagen Dazs Dulce de Leche – I really wanted the Dulce de Leche with Churros flavor, but my local store did not have it. So I settled for the regular Dulce de Leche and it did not disappoint! I love Haagen Dazs because their ingredients are so straightforward. Dulce de leche is such a sleeper flavor. To me, it’s a classic but I feel like people don’t reach for it as much as vanilla or chocolate. Lots of caramel swirls. I’m still on the hunt for DDL w/ churro!
Van Leeuwen Mango Sticky Rice – this one was a pleasant surprise for me. The mango is not punchy at all so you don’t get that cheek-tingling citrus sourness. The mango was there but muted. I didn’t get rice flavor from this? I got more coconut flavor than anything but I absolutely love coconut so that was OK with me. There are no mix ins with this particular flavor. I actually mixed it with the blueberry lemon HD sorbet to get that sour-citrus flavor and it was a great combo however it’s pretty delicious on its own as well.
Jeni’s Wedding Cake – This used to be my absolute favorite Jeni’s flavor. However, am I wrong…did it disappear for a year or two (or three)? Anyway, thanks to this sub I ran to my local scoop shop when I heard it was available again! Hand packed pints only. I really love this ice cream. I feel like it’s really well balanced with the cake pieces and the fruit (lemon and blackberries). I hate to admit that it wasn’t as good as I remembered but that may be because my pint didn’t have very much lemon, and that’s my favorite part. All in all, I hope they bring this flavor back to scoop shops and online in the future.

Haagen-Dazs is my favorite ice cream brand, and I also love caramel and dulce de leche.
I miss wedding cake so much. I wish I’d gotten a few pints from the shop.
