Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi brings Parisian polish, candlelit dinners and quiet romance to life at Louvre Abu DhabiThe Spot
Fouquet’s Abu Dhabi sits in the cultural heart of Saadiyat, right by Louvre Abu Dhabi, and it feels every bit like a French love letter delivered by hand. The brasserie brings its Parisian soul to the island, carrying the same quiet glamour that made its Champs-Elysees counterpart famous. Chef Pierre Gagnaire leans into classic French cooking with a modern twist, and the terrace gives you a front-row seat to the sea and the soon-to-open Guggenheim. It’s food, art and a little fantasy stitched together.
The Vibe
Image: supplied
This is the sort of place that makes even the most ordinary weekday night feel like the start of a romance. White tablecloths, red accents and soft lighting set the tone. Then the singer steps in with a voice so warm it feels like you’re being wrapped in velvet. She glides through jazz and soul, and before long you’ve forgotten the rest of the world. The mood is grown-up, inviting and perfect for lingering with someone you actually like.
The Food and Drinks
The starters eased me in gently. The marinated prawns with avocado tasted like the South of France in a bowl, bright and silky. The wagyu carpaccio arrived dressed with red pepper confit and parmesan, a plate that whispered instead of shouted. The beef bourguignon was the kind of rich that hugs your ribs. Paired with truffle mash, it felt comforting and grand at the same time. The rigatoni with black truffle was indulgent in the best way, every forkful scented and satisfying. Dessert is tiramisu and nothing else matters. It’s classic, creamy and builds slowly until you realise you’ve eaten more than you meant to and you’re still thinking about the next bite.

The Service
Service leans on the slower side, but it suits the space. You get time to breathe, to listen to the music, to watch the light skim over the water. No one rushes you and that’s its own luxury.
What’s On the Bill
Around Dhs500 to Dhs600 per couple. Think of it as an investment in good food and better memories.
What’s On Verdict
Fouquet’s is the rare spot where the food tastes as considered as the art around it. Every course feels intentional, every detail unhurried. It’s a place that treats dinner like a small act of love, and it leaves you carrying that feeling with you when you walk out.
