Southern Cross Hospitality, led by Anthony Debreceny, is preparing to launch an upscale Italian restaurant aimed at elevating Savannah’s fine-dining scene.
La Vetta will debut at 15 W. Broughton St. this year.
The restaurant creates an intimate, dimly lit setting, highlighted by ambient blues and purples with touches of orange. The design is by Studio Tho’.
“Before the curtain rises. Welcome to LA VETTA, the peak of Italian fine dining. This is where dining escapes the ordinary and reaches its summit. Stay tuned, the premiere is just around the corner,” Studio Tho’ shared via Instagram.
The Savannah Morning News reports the head chef, originally from Italy, will relocate to Savannah in January to begin building out the menu. Until then, the final lineup remains a work in progress.
This will be the group’s latest concept, following the recent debut of Fishbar, a live-fire restaurant in Savannah’s Starland District. Southern Cross Hospitality’s portfolio also includes its flagship, The Collins Quarter in historic downtown, along with Ukiyo Izakaya & Ramen Bar, The Fitzroy, The Deck Beach Bar & Kitchen and Doki Doki Ice Cream.
The restaurant group hasn’t announced an opening date yet for La Vetta. Visit the company’s website for updates.
