This was yet another pint in the set I ordered shipped to me on National Ice Cream Day with free shipping. When I opened it there was a bit of ice formation and I did not know if this was from sitting in the freezer since August 12 or the shipping process. I then discovered it was absolutely hard as rock. This was the hardest ice cream I have ever encountered. I had to get a knife to cut into it to get any of it out of the container. Once I did and ate it I felt like it had almost no taste. Then I remembered that when ice cream is this cold and hard the taste is really muted. So, I microwaved my portion the next time and it's actually really delicious. Also, letting it sit out about a half hour works too. It's really sweet and has great chocolate cookie mix-ins. So, I'd give it a high rating once you get it out of the concrete stage.

This is honestly my favorite cookies and cream ice cream of all time (Next to dirt cake BnJ, if that counts.) I wish they made this flavor year round/put it in stores because I don’t wanna order 5 pints just to get this haha.
I shall be ready for fhe third Saturday in July to order this year!
Something about the term vanilla-scented is off-putting but this sounds amazing.
Edit: Bought the Green Mint Chip because of this post, which has peppermint oil in the ingredients and it just says Peppermint Cream, no scented anything here. It’s an odd choice to be sure.
I have one of the very last of the coffee and creamer in my freezer. Idk why it went out and not coming back. I wanna try a couple more flavors. If there’s a plum marketplace near you, they’ll most likely have these and many more!
Vanilla scented makes me think it’s an air freshener and not actual vanilla ice cream. Why would they market it that way. It’s so off putting.
I don’t normally love white chocolate but in the flavor and the Jeni’s white chocolate peppermint I love it! The little flecks and sucks nice texture to the ice cream. This is one of my favorite Jeni’s flavors.
This is why I don’t order online. Its hard enough for grocers who manage the entire supply chain to keep ice cream at consistent proper temperatures, I hardly think a box of dry ice shipped by UPS is in any way going to consistently maintain temps. So it becomes paying a premium for a roll of the dice. I barely trust Instacart, Doordash etc for last mile delivery but at least they have optimized to a level these days where you get a grocery store pickup and drop off in a short clean path from store to house.
I’m impressed it’s gluten free (I have celiac)
Cookies and cream is my #1 favorite flavor of ice cream. So I will always get any brand for cookies and cream ice cream, including Jeni’s ice cream.
