For the filling:

๐Ÿ”ธ Salt, black pepper, and dried oregano to taste
๐Ÿ”ธ 2โ€“3 tbsp tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
For baking:
๐Ÿ”ธ 5 oz (150 g) tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
๐Ÿ”ธ 1โ€“2 tbsp vegetable oil
๐Ÿ”ธ 4โ€“5 oz (120โ€“140 g) shredded mozzarella

1๏ธโƒฃ Slice eggplants, sprinkle with salt, let sit 20 min, rinse, pat dry, make shallow cuts, drizzle with vegetable oil, place in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake at 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) for 20โ€“25 min until soft and golden.
2๏ธโƒฃ For the filling: sautรฉ onion in vegetable oil 5โ€“7 min, add ground meat, brown, stir in tomato sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper.
