I thought I was into coffee. Then my sister who’s not! Bought the same Breville as mine. She started learning more than me, so I had to elevate.
I looked on this sub for 5 minutes and saw someone say they live in Canada and they wish they could buy a Niche. So I thought, “hey, I’ll get that”.
The grind; was snow. The aroma; a field of flowers. The crema; an aerated cream.
I have been elevated. With frivolous spending.

what’s the wdt you’re using?
Someone help me understand why a niche would be superior to say a df54
I thought the df54 was so well received because it’s flat burrs vs conical
A good grinder makes more difference than almost anything. I think Lance Hedrick has a video that he uses a super cheap machine with a really good grinder.
NO DONT TELL ME. *covers eyes*
Since I see the scale out, it’s certainly very nice weighing out the beans ahead of time with some [tubes](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CT3G6TK7?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_DSFW1B7TCM0XBMBFN9CC&titleSource=true)
Is that a hypergrind aluminum dosing funnel atop the BBE?
Enjoy the niche zero. May your upgrades stop here.
That is a killer setup, I used to have it, and honestly, was amazing
But I first got talked into a df64 with ssp Hu burrs b/c it is a “niche killer”, the df was such a waste of money, it was a hunk of junk then just got the niche like I originally planned and couldn’t been happier
So why aren’t the Breville grinders considered good?
Bro this is 1500 dollars 😭
so no you can’t say Niche and Canada in the same sentence and not explain where you got it and for how much at the end… pls! Nice setup btw 😁
if you were getting into espresso with like say a $500 budget to begin, would you still go with the breville barista express? Wondering if you have other recommendations/if the included breville grinder doesn’t do a good job? thanks! pretty setup!
I just googled and OMG, that’s more than the Breville! I want one.
I do not have this kind of coffee money.
Nice starter set
So how did you start dialing in with a completely new grinder?
How/what was the process like?
5 years now with my niche and it’s the best purchase ever. Does well for pour overs and espresso. She’s such a beauty.
Price and model number? I need snow and flowers aroma too
Do you mind sharing links to the grinder, machine, scale, and other item? Looks just about what I was looking at but I’m getting lost in the models
For what you get, and considering the alternatives, the Niche Zero is not a super expensive grinder 🙂 good choice!
I love my niche duo, such an incredibly high quality grinder and so well designed. I do wish it was a bit quieter though
Congrats on the grinder!! Easy workflow, great flavor, consistent grind size, and results in good full bodied shots! The only thing I’d add is a bellow (simple and cheap). I was amazed by how much retention the niche zero still gets. I used the bellow for the first time and got so much out! Now my shots are so much more consistent.
Love the last line it just signifies everything about getting into the coffee hobby 😅
Had an identical setup (even the colour!) until I started hankering for a dual boiler. Enter the Silvia Pro X.
Good luck preventing further frivolous spending 😂

Someone is caffeinated lol
Should’ve got the Niche Zero
I have the niche zero too and it did massively improve my coffee. I have the bambino.
Im considering getting the batista pro until I can get a more expensive machine. Whats the combo like? I know you can change the temp with the pro
ive got the j-max (idk, the espresso one..) how is this manual grinder comparable to eg. an electric one like this im terms of grind-quality?
This is a nice starter setup. There are levels above this. Welcome to your journey.
