I went to some random beach near my dad’s hometown in The Philippines and they picked these right on the beach, washed them and served them with lunch. I was skeptical at first, but it was surprisingly delicious. I always buy them if I see them, but they are harder to find where I live now

In Japan, it’s called umi buudo, literally sea grapes as well. Very popular in okinawa

This is macro algae caulerpa. Reefers use this on saltwater aquariums for nutrient exports.
