Sakura Japanese Steak House recently opened in Camden County with a menu of sushi, hibachi, teppanyaki noodles, and teriyaki dishes.
The restaurant, which opened Jan. 2 in Somerdale, takes over the former 814 South Pub property on south White Horse Pike near Lafayette Avenue.
The 814 South restaurant closed last year.
Sakura now operates 14 restaurant, including two in New Jersey. The other location in the state is in Mays Landing.
Sakura features a fully remodeled interior with an open dining room and a central sushi kitchen and prep area.
The menu features seaweed salad, shumai soup and miso soup, tataki tuna, sushi, savory teriyaki, sizzling hibachi dishes.
Noodle options include vegetable teppanyaki and shrimp or chicken teppanyaki.
Hibachi or teriyaki are served with Japanese fried rice and a vegetable. Meals includes choices of chicken, steak, scallops, shrimp or tofu.
The dessert menu features mochi rice cake, ice cream and bomba cake.
Customers can order online for takeout or delivery, according to Sakura Japanese Steak House website.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 9: 15 p.m. Monday to Thursday; 11 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. on Sunday.
Sakura’s other locations outside New Jersey include restaurants in Maryland, Virginia and California.
