Serious question, is it basically a flat crepe?

What’s Dutch about them? They are just crepes

Absolutely delicious. This is what always meant “pancakes” to me growing up, not the thick American kind.

Schmoke and a pancake? What’s the yellow stuff?
Drawsblanket
Did he say the yellow from the jar was egg?

So then you just roll it up like a burrito and fight off the rest of the table, yes?

Dutch pancakes are excellent but poffertjes and fresh stroopwaafels are a million times better.
Source: I lived in Holland and think about these items every day.

These look good! I had a great grandma that would make what she called Dutch pancakes but it looked nothing like this lol. They were made in the oven was, much thicker and was usually served with powdered sugar and lemon juice
BananaBandit
They’re called pannekoeken. Usually always served with stroop. Can be topped with sweet or savory ingredients.

I am a fan. However- what is the point of adding the strawberries before it hits the plate? Clearly the strawberries don’t cook in the slightest.

The seasoning on that pan is impressive. I wouldn’t dare

Too thin to be considered a Dutch pancake. Needs to be thicker, like 3 or 4 mm so it’s both crunchy on the outside and fluffy/bouncy on the inside…

Now you roll them the proper Balkan way
Try it with bacon, dutch cheese, and stroop 😉
My favorite spot in Amsterdam!
In Russia it’s called “блины”.
