Spent the day cooking and enjoying these two bottles.

Chardonnay: big and bold with a nice savory notes (mineral, almond, oak, and touches of vanilla), stone fruits and a smooth finish.

Pinot: Opened 3 hours before dinner. Tannins mellowed over the few hours we had it open. Not particularly bold but paired nicely with the double cut pork chop and mustard pan sauce I made) A bit acidic with balanced berries, cherries, oak, and leather notes. Will be interesting to taste the other bottles we have in a few years.

2023 is one of the best NorCal Pinot vintages in recent years and it’s Littorai; sit your remaining Wendlings into the 2030s if you can.
