Hey everyone, I want to know about the best ice cream you’ve ever tasted. It could be connected with nostalgia or memories, but I’d really like to know an overall best flavor you’ve ever had. For me, I’m a certified vanilla freak, so I have been aging Madagascar vanilla beans extract with Japanese oak wood for a little over 14 months, and then use that extract to make a paste with fresh beans for double strength. The complexity is unlike any vanilla I’ve ever had!

Well… Where’s a picture of the ice cream?

I have seen people infuse wood flavors before, but not like this; this is really intriguing. Can you describe the taste it gives your vanilla extract?

This sounds amazing! How much do you use in ice cream?

Can you give a detailed process? I’d love to try this!

Isn’t this basically like combining vanilla extract and vanilla flavoring? Both contain the flavoring compounds for vanilla (which is why the fake stuff is made with wood).

Valrhona coco 50g, 70g alcohol based sugar, 60g 35% cream, a bit of vanilla extract on alcohol based and some salt. The rest 7,5% fat milk to fill the ninja cremi delux NC300EU. This is the best ice cream I ever had. But 2 spoons are perfect after that it is a bit too strong. Was a bit much after 1/2 pint.
