Yeah, this kind of kit is meant to have everything dumped in at once, covered with water, set and let it go for hours.

Yep. If you want extra nutrients I’d put in chicken bones (say from a rotisserie chicken) into the pot, water and spices. Let it cook for hourssss

Skip the chicken broth, throw in a chicken quarter instead.

Uhhh is that the bait to get the chicken? Otherwise I believe you are missing a key ingredient.

Add chicken and hot water.

I would save the cilantro (?) and use it as a garnish, freshly chopped.

Hmm, maybe get a rotisserie chicken, pick the meat off, squash the carcass up and put it in your crockpot then add water and cook for a few hours. Add veggies based on expected cooking time. Looks like a variety of things that will take different amounts of time.

Would you mind listing what‘s in the package?

Cook the chicken thighs and packet and most of the veggies together. I usually don’t add the green beans till I’m about 10 minutes from serving. Boiling those too long makes them mushy. Cilantro as garnish of course. This is a very caldo de pollo mix. So similar recipes online can give you some more ideas for garnishes. Personally I like to add chopped white onions cilantro lime juice and avocado as a garnish right before serving. Others might also use a dab of adobada paste from a can of chipotle peppers.

1st you put a hole in the box
Then you dump everything in the pot and slow cook for a few hours.
Veggies cook at different times so maybe phase them in at different times.

Chop everything up into smaller bits. Pull the corn off the cob before or after cooking. Dump in one go. Add broth and seasoning. I usually dump everything in a the same time for soup.
People saying to ditch the liquid for soup… uh… most soups require broth, water or other liquids

Throw in one to two chicken backs. That’s a solid kit tho. Add a few cloves of garlic (like 4) and half yellow onion.
