Combo of various venison and beef fat. I always just eyeball it and it looks right but curious what everyone thinks about the mix. 80/20ish?

I would say it’s 85/15, maybe even closer to 90/10. It looks pretty lean.

I was thinking 85-15 but considering that it is venison that may throw off the eye test. It’s probably 80-20.
Irregardless it looks like a good grind.

That looks richer than the 85/15 beef and venison mix I do for burgers, so I’d say it’s pretty close to 80/20.

Thanks guys and gals! I tested a bit and it’s just the way I like it. Just wasn’t sure what that was. I’ve been doing it that way for decades and just kind of eyeball it and then cook a patty to verify. Works for me. 🤷♂️
