Been growing a cactus near my collection and just realized the light might be ruining the wine.

Are they basically ruined? Drinkable?

For how long? If this goes on for months, it will destroy the wines.

Wow, I’ve never seen the word “collection” and that many open bottles and screw tops in the same post. You don’t put wine under a grow light, ever. People get worried about wine on the shelf because of light strike. You cooked those bottles.

The wine was “not drinkable” before it was stored

I see a lot of opened unfinished bottles… wine isn’t like spirits where you can just casually drink them whenever you want after opening

Did you post this to make us all angry? Why are you storing opened wine? I’ve never seen so many upright or screw-top wines being called a “collection.” You’re cooking that wine under that light. If they’re all the same quality as your Cupcake, they’re all trash now.

  6. Torch cactus? Much more interesting than those crates.

Your san pedro is etiolating. You should lower the light.
Yes a grow light is very bad for wine.

I don’t think it’s the cactus at all.

I only see one but it is etiolating, need stronger light

Why do you have multiple of the same half drunk, non-chilled white wines.

i dont even know what im looking at – some bottles open just sitting there, some to the side, half consumed cupcake. Why is there a catus in the bottom of a basement with a random light with other booze. Man i just work here.

I swear this is not rage bait lol I’m just not a connoisseur by any means and am just starting out.

But I do want to start collecting some alcohol in case of a “shit has hit the fan” scenario (I promise the whiskey / vodka / hard stuff is much more respectable than this).

And idk where else to put the bottles ive already started so I just put them on top of the other ones for now.

also, how long is wine good for after you’ve opened the bottle?

Obvious ragebait, and well done, but wtf is Cupcake?
