Ben & Jerry’s Dirt Cake

This one came recommended as the best flavor of the “Topped” series, so I was very interested in trying it. The ice cream itself was very good with a classic cookies and cream flavor but the ganache on top was unfortunately a bit too heavy and cloying for my taste. I think for my own taste it would have been better if it was mixed into the ice cream as swirls instead of sitting on top as a thick layer you have to dig through. I think I will most likely skip any future “Topped” or “Sundae” flavors and stick with their normal pints as I just don’t care for the central gimmick.
