That is quite possibly a legit reaper. They don’t always have the characteristic stinger shape. Let it ripen more and try it. Betcha it’ll be mighty hot

One way to determine the pepper is to bite into it. Make sure you eat the entire pepper to get all the flavor, you don’t want to miss a certain part because that could leave out key notes on the detective end of things. At least this is how I always do it. Can’t really go wrong with this method. It’s never failed me; and that’s saying something because I was eating peppers sense I graduated high school with Yoda himself. I have extensive knowledge, and experience in this field. And I know what I’m talking about.
