Hello you wonderful people of r/FoodLosAngeles!

Unfortunately, I was sick this week and as such, I cant cook for people because I dont want to get anyone else sick. I dont want anyone to waste a trip, only for me not to be there!!

Unfortunately, next weekend also looks like rain, so I will see if I can do something about that.

I had a TON of fun making the rootbeers for those who got them last week, both in the making of the soda, but also the giving a gift to the first people in line. I had planned to do another food gift to the first people in line, but again, that'll have to wait! But I plan to do it whenever the next time I get out to sell sandwiches. My heart is really set on a smores candy bar, with handmade caramel and marshmallows, but we shall have to see if I can do it like I want to in my head. I heard about a technique of using old, stale bread and malt to make a more complex and interesting caramel, so I am going to try to make some bread like I make for the sandwiches, then make a caramel out of it and have it pair with the sandwiches.

At least that's the plan, who knows how it will work out!!

Follow me on IG if you are interested in the process making the caramel and candy bars. Big_Beautiful_BBQ (There are no politics behind the name)
