Here we are not talking about a choice made on the fly. TAP Air Portugal spent months between tests, analysis, manufacturer evaluations and customer feedback, following a rigorous process articulated in three stages of selection. The result? 55 Portuguese wines chosen from nearly 1,300 applications: this is the new wine list that will be served on board the fleet.

New card arrives in 2026: 43 wines in Business, 12 in Economy

The new selection will be introduced progressively over the course of 2026. In total we are talking about 55 labels, broken down as follows: 43 dedicated to Business Class e 12 to Economy.

In Business Class, the experience starts off strong right away, with a white port welcome drink, and then continued with an articulated proposal consisting of:

12 red wines
12 white wines
6 sparkling wines
6 Port
6 Moscatel de Setúbal

Nine regions, eight categories and bimonthly rotation

The new list brings together wines from nine different regions, offering passengers a real journey through Portugal’s wine heritage. The labels are organized into eight categories and will be presented with bimonthly frequency, ensuring a continuous update of the proposal on board.

With over 16 million passengers and more than a thousand flights a week, TAP serves its customers annually about half a million bottles of wine. With this new charter, the company renews its commitment to the enhancement of the portuguese culture, choosing producers and grape varieties representative of different regions of the country.

Here comes the real treat for enthusiasts: the in-vehicle entertainment system introduces a completely new feature. TAP is the first airline to integrate an interactive map dedicated to the Portuguese wine scene, allowing passengers to explore the entire national offering directly from the onboard screen.

Each passenger can thus discover Portugal’s cultural and tourist heritage by choosing from proposals designed for different travel profiles.

Wine tourism experiences are marked on the map and, by scanning a QR code, you can directly access the manufacturer’s site with no on-board connection fees. The experience then comes to life once you arrive at your destination, thanks in part to the program Portugal Stopover.
