I love Gamjatang but there is not one dish in the world I could eat every day for even a week let alone for the rest of my life. Too boring

I’ve never had gamjatang before but I always see people getting it at the Korean restaurant I frequent, is it that good?

  3. I’m korean american. Born and raised in america but went to korea half of my life.
Only stayed in busan so mines 돼지국밥 and 밀면.

Gamjatang is amazing, but for me? Soondaeguk. It’s something I never make and love so so much!

gamjatang is soooo good man. but I prefer 추어탕 tho

  7. Such a hard question omg. It always changes depending on my mood but I guess gun to head just a good old kimchi jjigae. Never gets tiring.

Kalbijim or sundubu jjiggae or gori gomtang would be my top 3, wouldn’t know how to choose between the 3!

I’m a meat a holic so the answer is easy. Bulgogi. Especially if beef and pork are allowed.

Or, maybe, banchan. I can’t get enough of the stuff. Back in Oaktown, a good restaurant prides itself on the banchan and lays it on thick. 8, 10, 12, even 14 kinds. Refills with a smile. God damn! Can’t get but one or two at western MA resataurants, which doesn’t matter cuz I haven’t found one worth a return.

Went to the one in Greenfield for lunch. Restaurant is empty. I’m sitting there and I hear the distinct sound of the microwave bell. Should got up and walked out right then. Ugh.

    A loaded 해물칼국수 from Jebudo

  12. Can I say bibimbap? Not sure its cheating because you can make jt with so may different veggies / proteins lol

But it has the best balance of veggies to protein to carbs and like i have it with bulgogi or spicy chicken or tofu so its really got a lot of variety

There was a restaurant in Insa-dong that had this crazy, amazing boiled chicken in this sweet spicy sauce with potatoes, carrots, etc. My favorite spot when I took friends to visit touristy areas in Seoul. It was always a hit.

Yukgaejang. I could eat it forever.

Dakgalbi, including the fried rice made with leftovers. Very strong contender is dotsol bibimbap with various protein choices.
